Extracurricular Activities at Presidency
At Presidency, we recognize that education is not confined to the classroom alone. A truly well-rounded education must provide students with opportunities to discover their passions, develop leadership skills, and cultivate a sense of community engagement. For this reason, Presidency has built a rich ecosystem of Extracurricular Activities (ECA), facilitated primarily through a wide range of student-led clubs and organizations. These initiatives not only complement academic learning but also play a central role in shaping confident, responsible, and creative young individuals.
Our extracurricular activities are diverse, spanning across the sciences, arts, culture, debate, sports, leadership, and social responsibility. Many of these organizations are exclusive to Presidency students, while others extend opportunities to adolescents aged 12–18, thus creating a vibrant space for collaboration and intellectual exchange.
STEM and Intellectual Clubs
Presidency takes pride in nurturing scientific inquiry and intellectual curiosity. The Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Earth Science Clubs provide students with platforms to extend their classroom learning through experiments, projects, discussions, and competitions. The Coding and Robotics Clubs allow learners to engage with cutting-edge technology, preparing them for a future shaped by innovation and digital problem-solving. Meanwhile, the English Club fosters language proficiency, literary appreciation, and cultural expression, empowering students with essential communication skills.
Arts, Debate, and Media
Beyond the sciences, Presidency celebrates creativity and critical thinking. The Association of Debaters (PADS) has established itself as a space where students sharpen their analytical abilities, public speaking, and argumentation skills. The Model United Nations (MUN) Club immerses students in global affairs, diplomacy, and negotiation, equipping them to become thoughtful global citizens. Artistic expression thrives in the Film Club and the Photographers’ Association, where students experiment with visual storytelling, cinematography, and photography, showcasing their perspectives on society and culture.
Social Responsibility and Leadership
Presidency also emphasizes values of service and leadership. Presidency Students Initiatives, the Scout Groups, and the Unit of the Red Crescent Society channel the energy of young people towards humanitarian work, teamwork, and civic responsibility. These organizations cultivate empathy, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, encouraging students to act as responsible members of their communities.
Sports and Physical Development
Physical well-being and teamwork are fostered through Presidency’s vibrant sports culture. Students actively participate in the Football, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Chess Clubs, each providing avenues for discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. These clubs not only contribute to fitness and recreation but also instill life lessons about collaboration, competition, and fair play.
A Culture of Student Leadership
What makes Presidency’s extracurricular framework unique is its student-driven management model. Each club is run and organized by students, enabling them to develop leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. This structure ensures that students are not passive participants but active shapers of their own learning and growth experiences.
In sum, extracurricular life at Presidency is an essential complement to academic excellence. Through its wide array of clubs and organizations, the institution provides every student with the chance to explore, experiment, and excel in areas of personal interest. This holistic approach ensures that Presidency students grow not only as scholars but also as leaders, innovators, and compassionate human beings—prepared to contribute meaningfully to society and the wider world.
