Mr. Nandan Mitra is the Director of Continuing Professional Development at Presidency International School, Bangladesh,
with over two decades of experience in teaching, instructional coaching, and academic leadership. He has been associated with the school since 2002 and has contributed significantly in a range of academic and leadership roles throughout his tenure.
Since 2015, Mr. Mitra has run the Teacher Learning Community (TLC), a sustainable professional development model focused on collaborative learning, peer coaching, lesson study, and teacher-led inquiry. His teamwork in this area has strengthened instructional practices and fostered a strong culture of continuous professional growth among faculty members.
He plays a key role in faculty recruitment and capacity building, ensuring the development of a skilled, reflective, and committed teaching team through ongoing training and mentoring. He has also coordinated numerous professional development programs in collaboration with Cambridge International Education and other nationally and internationally recognized trainers.
To enhance his professional expertise and global perspective, Mr. Mitra has participated in educational conferences, seminars, and workshops in the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and India.
His professional mission is to strengthen teacher capacity and improve student learning while ensuring teachers’ welfare and promoting a positive, healthy, and supportive working environment.
